Isabella Gardiner was the daughter of Joseph Gardiner and Margaret Fleming who married in Castlecomer in 1843.

Joseph was the son of Patt Gardiner who worked at Kilkenny Castle

Margaret was the daughter of James Fleming and Mary Purcell and was baptised at Castlecomer in 1829, although from her death record, she was probably born in about 1823.

(A possible sister to Margaret was Anne Fleming baprised at Mayhora in 1816.)

Isabella migrated to Queensland Australia in about 1874, as well as brothers James and Thomas at diffferent times later in the century.

Isabella married Henry Green and moved out to Charleville in  Western Queensland, where they had eight children, Mary Jane, Joseph, Eva, Anne,John Richard, Margaret, Catherine, Mary Ann. After Henry's death she married John Murray, and they had a daughter Isabel Murray, before John died. Isabella senior remarried to George Allen and had another daughter, Lillian.

Isabella's sister, Kate Gardiner also emigrated to Australia, married William Preston, before supposedly emigrating to America to maybe join her brother, Obadiah, who also had moved to America.

Youngest brother, Joseph Gardiner was the only child to stay home in Castlecomer, where he married Sarah Pielow and they lived at Chatsworth Avenue all their lives.

There were two other siblings, Henry and Eliza, but it is unsure what happened to them.
