On 24 December 1867 she married John Thompson of Newtownhamilton at Kilcluney Parish Church. (certificate below)
They emigrated to the Glasgow area and had children: Margaret, William, John, Ann Jane, Sarah, Elizabeth, John, Isabella, Mary, Christina Livingstone, Minnie.
She could not sign her name; in 1874 she "made her mark" on her daughter's birth record.
