ISAAC WALTON was born in OLDCASTLE, Meath, about 1788. Military records show that he served in Meath Militia, but was discharged in 1811, aged 23, possibly from Kilmainham Hospital, Dublin, suggesting that he may have survived serious injury. ( Source The National Archives, Kew ) He appears to have returned home to the Oldcastle area, and later records suggest he may have resided in the Loughcrew area, or Oldcastle. A daughter, Mary Ann Walton, registered as living at Oldcastle, was married on March 24, 1854 to a Charles Davidson, a steward at the Loughcrew Glebe. ( https:civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie)
