He worked at Fermoy, Clonmel and Rosscarbery where he married Mary Ann O'Leary (O'Connor). He had 3 children. Catherine Anne Levins b 1840 who was a governess and died in the Clonakilty workhouse of Pthisis in 1869. Ferdinand George Levins b 1841 died 1912 in Manchester was also in the Royal Irish Constabulary; father of 13 children with Honora o'Sullivan. William Joe Levins b 1844 no further records found. James lived and worked in Rosscarbery, Cork. The old barracks in Chapel St Rosscarbery is currently a B&B, the Sergeants cottage is where James lived and his children were born. I stayed in this cottage thanks to it's wonderful hosts.
