Looking for info on my great-great grandfather James Little (born 1798), wife Rosie Bayley Little (born 1801). They emigrated to Derby, CT, USA around 1850. Only tie to Co Cavan that I can verify is Rosie's death certificate (CT) that indicates she was born in County Cavan in 1801. They had two children that I know of- Maryann born 1836, and Patrick Francis (my great grandfather) born 1839.
James had a brother Patrick Little,with a wife Ellen. Ellen and a grandson Patrick emigrated to Derby, CT, USA aboard the clippership Shakespeare arriving July 3, 1843- no mention of what happened to husband Patrick. Son Patrick (got way too many Patrick Littles in my tree!) arrived in CT between 1840 and 1842.
I have searched RootsIreland to no end, but can't tie any of these folks back to any county in Ireland. Any assistance would be appreciated.
