James McCullough was my great grandfather born 2 March 1834 in Banbridge(?), County Down. With his father and sibliings, Sarah Jane b. 1836 and Robert b. 1838, plusmaybe his mother who died before they arrived in Kincardine, Ontario, Canada, he emigrated to Canada about 1843 coming initially to Cobourg, Ontario and then in 1849 moving to Kincardine, Ontario where he married in about 1855 to Alice Tomlinson, daughter of an earlier immigrant from Ireland, most likely from County Carlow.
