Place of migration
Migrated to/Born in USA
James lived in Gurteen. Between Edgeworthstown and Longford town. He immigrated to Albany, NY America in the 1830's and eventually opened a brewery and Malthouse. He is my great, great grandfather. While in America he married Ann Brady from Edgeworth's town. I have looked and looked for any trace of the long-disappeared Gurteen, with no luck. I assume this is the correct Parish but I have no proof. Any information would be much appreciated! The birth date listed is approximate.
