He married Sarah Kearney from Bellaghy on 30 Oct 1856 at St. Mary's, Bellaghy. Immigrated to Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 1857.
Died at the age of 72 in Montreal per burial record (Quebec, Vital and Church Records (Drouin Collection), 1621-1967 on Ancestry.com)
