Jane Campbell was born on 10 Apr 1836 at Elagh, Ballinderry, County Tyrone. She married Peter McGuckin from Mullin lower, Ballinderry on 26 Oct 1855 and they emigrated to Queensland Australia the next year on the "Lady McDonald". Arrived on 12 Oct 1856 in Moreton Bay and travelled to Warwick where they had five children before Jane died aged 31 in 1868. 

A number of Peter and Jane's siblings also followed them to Warwick - 2 of Peter's brothers and one of Jane's brothers and 5 of her sisters emigrated. Jane's sister Margaret married Peter's brother Thomas in 1863 in Queensland.

Peter remarried Catherine Keleher from Glanworth, Cork in Warwick in 1870 and they had another 2 children before Peter died in a horse accident aged 48 in 1882.
