JENNINGS: Jane (a native of Dublin) and her sisters Sarah and Maria Frances arrived in New South Wales, Australia in August 1841 on the Burhampooter.  Jane was sponsored by Wm Walker as a seamstress.  Her parents Wm Jennings and Hannah Moore are noted as alive by the Capt.

The ladies worked together and had a shop....they are noted in a book written by Catherine Bishop a college professor in Sydney, Australia.

Maria Frances married Edward Wardell and lived a long life dying in 1903 in Ballaratt. (Her husband drowned in 1866 in Ballaratt)

Sarah, we have no idea what happened to her.

Jane moved to New Zealand where she married my great great grandad Albert William Hansard in 1848? 1850?  They had 2 children, Francis Albert and Arthur Charles.  Unfortunately when Arthur Charles was 2 years old 0n 2 April 1857 per the Southern Cross.........Jane had a "carriage" accident and passed away.

According to AC he was in line to a Baronetcy through Jane's family, that his uncle held.  This has been a brickwall for me as I can find very little on this family.  I do know that father Wm Jennings is listed in J Cummings 1812 Directory of Bookeeper.  Family is Church of England.
