Johanna Meara born approximately 1832 to her Father Patrick Meara and Mother Mary(unkown maiden name), emigrated to the United States in the late 1840's to early 1850's and setteled in Mineola, Long Island, New york. There she married Thomas White, a farmer, himself a recent emigrant from Ireland and together the couple had 6 children. Johanna passed away in 1899.
