John Andrew Sullivan/O`Sullivan,( my gr gr grandfather) married Katherine Mary "Kate" Dwyer (?) 20 Mar 1871-Allihies Parish, Ballydonegan, Cork Ireland. There was a half-brother to John born 1848, also in Ireland. There were 7 children born in Ireland before coming to the US in 1883.

There were 2 born in Butte Montana once they reached the states.

10 Sept 1886-1964-Kathryn Ellen "Kate"

11 Oct 1888-1974-Michael Henry-My great grandfather.

After living and working in Butte for some time, there was a move to the Jocko Valley, Flathead county, Montana. John put in a census that he was a farmer. Not sure what he did in Ireland before they came to the US.

One child born in Jocko Valley, Flathead.

My Sullivan family also left Allihies for the USA. They moved to Fall River, Massachusetts. If your family moved to Montana they may have be miners. Allihies had the copper mine and countless Irish miners left for Montana. Let me know if you would like to see my ancestry tree to see if we share cousins
