Descendants of John Cannon
Generation No. 1
1. JOHN1 CANNON was born about 1809 in Ireland, and died February 25, 1871 in Carroll County, Missouri.
He married CATHERINE CANNON née Fitzgerald or McArdil or Carroll. About 1835. ( I believe Carroll was recorded in error as she lived in Carroll County, Missouri.)
Her name was recorded as Fitzgerald on one of her sons marriage certificate.
No birth certificates or marriage records have been found. Catharine was Catholic and I assume John was as well.
John and Catharine emigrated to America about 1847 with Jane, Mary Marcella and Ann.
James was born in New York.
By 1849 they had moved to Kentucky where John, William, Thomas and Catharine were born. Ann died there.
They moved to Missouri in 1870 and John died the next year.
Catharine lived there til her death in 1900, age 88.
