In John the younger's lifetime, he lived in St. Paul, Minnesota; Butte and Anaconda, Montana; Rossland, Canada; Northport and Seattle, Washington. John Jr was married in a Catholic Church, had a funeral in a Catholic Church and is buried in a Catholic cemetery. In all those moves, it is unclear from directories and census records if any of his relatives followed. Instead, they seem closely bound to his wife's relatives.
His death certificate names his parents as John Carmody and Mary Clark. On census records, he states that his parents are born in Ireland. I am guessing the birth years of his parents based on his birth year. There are many John Carmody's born around 1860 in Michigan, whose parents are John and Mary Carmody. It has been a 20 year effort to identify my John and Mary from the pack. I lack the details necessary to find them as passengers for certain and any reference to their Parish or County of origin, but this form requires one. I am hoping DNA matches can help.
