John and his brother Anthony arrived in tasmania in 1849 from Killebeacanty County Galway 

John married Catherine Durack im 1852 their first child mary was born Christmas Day 1852  in November 1853.

John was drowned in Launcewton Tasmania. His son John was born in April 1854  who was my grandfather.

John and Anthony had four sister  Nancy,,Mary, Margaret and Katherine  I believe Nancy married a Deeley and lived in Dereen.
