MARRIAGE AND FAMILY
A few townlands east of the Glenderry Townland was the birthplace of John's future wife. John married Catherine Fitzgerald in 1832 in Kerry, Ireland, and probably in Tiershanaghan Townland, her hometown. While in Tiershanaghan, they had five children during their marriage: Mary, Catherine (who married John Flaherty), Patrick, John, and John [sic]. As of 2021, no years of death of the two sons named John had been found. But their Catholic parish baptismal records reported that they were both born in Tiershanaghan Townland. The Flahertys settled in Slievenavadoge Townland in the Spa (Tralee) Catholic Parish -- south of the Causeway Catholic Parish, where Catherine's parents continued to reside.
PROPERTY
John had leased a house from his mother-in-law by 1848 in Tiershanaghan. Mary Fitzgerald may have also transferred some of her land to him. It was documented that a John Dinneen had land on August 15, 1848.
DEATH
A John Dinneen, died in the first quarter of 1864 in the Tralee Registration District in County Kerry, Ireland. It was calculated that the person was this John Dinneen. He probably died in Tiershanaghan (Tiershannon) Townland, Ballyheige Catholic and Civil Parish, since he leased a house there.
BURIAL
The location of the gravesite of John Dinneen and Catherine Fitzgerald Dinneen's family was probably in Killury Cemetery of Causeway. The list of graves there included the Dineen (Dinneen) Family according to the photographer of "Graveyards of Ireland."
