JOHN BRINDLEY was born in Ireland in 1848.  He was the son of John Brindley and Mary Costello. He was probably from Coolagh but it is not certain 100%

IN IRELAND

John and Mary Costello married in July 31, 1847 in Templeberry, Nenagh, Tipperary.  There were 2 marriages:  one according to the rites of the Church of Ireland and the other one the day after August 1st, 1847 at the Catholic Church in Templederry.  According to the register, John was from COOLAGH from civil parish of Ballynaclogh and Mary was from CURRAGHGRAIGUE from civil parish Kilnaneave.  At the catholic wedding Winifred Costello (probably her grand-mother) was her witness.  They had 3 children:  JOHN (1848), HENRY (1850) and MARGARETH (1856). His father John (husband of Mary Costello) and his grand-father John Brindley esq.  rented lands in Tipperary:  Sragh, Coolagh, Ballyquiveen and some other places from Very Reverend Dean Head, Lord Dunalley and Colonel Maberley.  The Costello family rentel also lands in different places.

IN CANADA

In September 22, 1866 John Hubert, his brother Henry, his sister Margaret his father John and mom Mary arrived in Canada  (The boat St-Andrew from Londonderry).  John was 18 years old. 3 years later he married (November 26 1869)Susan Gallagher my gggrandmother in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.  They had 4 children: John James (1870-1876) Rosanna (1872- dec 1959) Mary (1873-Nov 1959) Olivia (1875-1918).
