John Hughes was born approx 1847 in Dromore. Married Mary McAleer 1867. Moved to Glasgow Scotland in the 1890s. Had about 10 children.

one of their sons- Francis, my grandfather, was born in Dromore in 1889 and moved to Glasgow in the 1890s.The family lived at East Wellington Street, Parkhead, Glasgow

In 1922 Francis married Margaret McAteer. He died in 1935 aged 46. They had 6 children. They lived at 21 Glamis Road, Parkhead, Glasgow.

One of their sons, John,(my father) was born in 1927 and died in 1977 aged 49.

I've done a lot of research on this family and so has my uncle in Scotland. Got lots of sources and a tree online. Been to Dromore and surrounding townlands a couple of times.
