John Attridge was born in 1873 to James Attridge and Mary Anne McCarthy in Forenaght, Castlehaven. He was one of 8 children and he and 4 of his siblings emigrated to Boston, Ma. in the late 1880's. John married Hannah Donovan from Kilmacabea in Peabody, Ma. in 1896 and they had 5 children.
