He married Eliza(beth) Jane Frances STUART in 1823, in Dublin. They are both buried in the crypt of St Andrew's Catholic church, Westland Row, Dublin. Some of their children emigrated to Australia, including Joseph, Richard Stuart, William Frederick, (Johanna) Agnes RUSSELL, and Alphonsus.
