To Maguire/McGuire Kin of Enniskillen
I understand that McGuire/Maguire is a very common name in Enniskillen. There are three McGuire women from Enniskillen in my family tree whom I believe were the daughters or close relations of Mary Michel and Thomas Maguire, a blacksmith:
1. Mary born circa 1812 married Pierce Doran in Enniskillen in Sept or Oct 1833 and lived in Dublin and other places in Ireland until he death in 1875 or 1877 in New Ross, Co. Waterford. Their son Thomas Percival Doran and his wife Bridget Doran (previously Feaver, formerly Daly, nee Smith/Smyth) named one of their daughters Sarah Ellen.
2. Sarah Ellen born circa 1815 emigrated to Australia circa 1850 and married Henry Oppermann circa 1852. They had no children but the daughter of the Mary (1 above) and Thomas Doran emigrated to Australia in 1885 and lived with Sarah Ellen and Henry Oppermann. The niece, Sarah Ellen Doran. was also the benefiiciary of her aunt Sarah Ellen Opperman's will. Sarah Ellen Opperman died in Sydney 1 Dec 1893 at the age of 78.
3. Elizabeth (Eliza) born circa 1830 emigrated to Australia in 1850 and married Daniel Lynch in Sydney on 2 Mar 1851. They had two children: Mary born 1852 and Thomas born 1853. Elizabeth died in 1859.
Might any others see any connections in this family history?
