Place of migration
Migrated to/Born in UK

John McKenna (McKinnie) was my third great-grandfather.

He was born in 1803 in Ireland. I think the location was Taughboyne, County Donegal.

He married Mary Ann McGhie (Magee) on 30/10/1826 in Taughboyne (again I think). They had seven children: Mary and Samuel, born 1838 in Ireland (no further precision), John, born 1839 and Alexander, born 1843, both in Londonderry, Robert, born 2/5/1844 in Tyrone, Rosanna, born around 1845 in Ireland, and the last son William, born in West Kilbride, Ayrshire, Scotland.

The entire family seems to have moved to West Kilbride some time between 1845 and 1851.

John and family appear in the Scotland Census for 1851 and 1861.
