How wonderful to get a message! Thank you so much I am really struggling with Julia Byrne.

The only documents I have that I can rely on are the

baptism certificate for her a mother of Julia Maria Crosier 22nd April 1836 Dublin - Father Jacobus Crozier and

an England 1911 Census where she is listed as a visitor to George Witherspoon & Margaret (Margaret Crozier/Julia Mary Byrne). I can find no marriage certificate for Julia Byrne to James Crozier.

Originally I had Julia Byrne and other children on my family tree but I'm just not sure now and keep deleting it. Does anyone of the above match with your Julia?

Oohhhh noo that doesn't match, I'm sorry!! So, your baptism date is no longer 1836, but it is 1871??

Here is the info for "my" Julia. Baptized at St. Catherine's, Meath Street, Dublin, Ireland on Aug 3, 1836. Parents John Byrne and Ann Mahon. Siblings are Mary Jane [1816], Michael [1819], Bridget [my 3rd g.g. 1826-1882, married John Shadwell], and Patrick [1828].

That's all I have though, sorry! Perhaps I can help you, who were Julia's children and husband, for sure? Or what is the most confident info you have on her... like what led you to finding her name etc?

Hello again

Sorry, i wasn't clear it's confusing. My ancestor is Margaret Crozier who married a George Witherspoon. The only facts i have are as follows. I couldnt find her birth under that name but found her under Julia Mary Crozier born dublin 1871. Someone kindly sent me an irish times clipping in memoriam to james crozier that said she was formerly julia crozier

We have a letter from James Crozier Dublin to her regarding her wedding in England in 1898, her marriage certificate says father deceased surgeon however he didnt die until 1914

On the 1911 census at her home is a julia byrne born dublin abt 1872 "visitor" and "single"

So really all i have is that her real name was julia mary or baptised in latin julia maria her father down as james crosier and her mother julia byrne. no marriage certficate has been found.

I presumed that the julia byrne on the 1911 census was her mother because it matched the name on baptism but as she lied on the marriage certificate to say that her father was dead i wonder whether she was illegitimate and said on census that her mother was just a visitor?

You said that your Julia had been recorded as married?
