Julia Doyle and Michael Johnston raised their family in Dublin. Their children were Margaret, b 1838, Catherine Theresa b. 1841, and Thomas b 1852. There may have been more. They were baptised at St Nicholas (without). Julia had a brother, James, who immigrated to Australia, and later sponsered Catherine's passage in 1856; by which time Julia had died.
