Julia traveled to America on the Oxford with her older sister Catherine in January of 1850. She settled in Allegan, Michigan and was married to Arthur Kingsbury. Her second marriage was to Andrew McQuinney. Her parents were John and Mary Keegan. John may have been born in about 1810 and Mary's maiden name may have been DeLacey. John and Mary died in Ireland. Julia may have had a brother, Thomas born in 1846, who emigrated to the U.S. living for a time in New York and later settling in Cook County Illinois.
