Father's name, Patrick Shiel. Mather's name Kate Shiel nee Hannon. Brother Martin, sisters Margaret (Peg), Eileen Christina and Nora. Two more sisters Maryanne and Josephine, one 7yrs old and one 14 years old when they died, one of Meningitis the other Pneumonia. Lived in a farming village called Carrantample. Went to church in Gurteen and shopped in Ballaghaderrin. Went to school in Annaghmore. Mum, Kathleen, came over to West Yorkshire, Leeds area in the 1940's. Met my father, Ronald Carlyle, and married in April 1949 at Pontefract. They began married life in the village of Birkin before moving to a council house in Beal where they lived until their deaths. They had three children, Michael Ronald, Anthony (Tony) Geoffrey and Mary Christine.
