Lanty Tierney was born c.1786 in Creggandevesky (Cregnadevesky), Co.Tyrone. He was married to Mary McKenna and it is said that he had 7 sons but so far we are only certain about 2 of them, Hugh and Owen. He passed away in his son's home in Cloghfin, Co. Tyrone at the grand old age of 100 (according to death certificate)
