Neil Dillon born Northern Ireland , family lore has him fighting with Commodore Andre for the British, came to Canada after Andre was executed
It wasn't until 1790 that Robert Beau Dillon was granted the title of Lord Clonbrock. Robert married Anastasia Letitia Greene. They had three children, Catherina Bridget, Luke and Letiva Susanna. Robert built Clonbrock house in 1780; it was designed by William Leeson and it took eight years to build.
He was a very extravagant man; he spent a lot of the time on the Continent and in England and also spent a considerable time each year in his town house in Harcourt Street, Dublin. Robert died in July 1795, aged forty one.
