Margaret Elizabeth Anderson was the daughter of John Anderson and Margaret Moran. She was baptized at St. Mary’s Catholic Chapel at 6 St. Mary’s Place, Island Road, Limerick on 27 April 1818. Her Godparents were John Fanon and Mary Shaughnessy. The priest was Rev Downes. She married John Joseph (JJ) Seymour at St. Mary’s on 20 June 1846. Their sponsors were Joseph Moran and Mary Meehan. The priest was Rev W. Brahan. They had two children, Francis and Michael, who were baptized at 6 St. Mary’s Place, Island Road, Limerick on 15 July 1847 and 14 October 1849, respectively. The family emigrated from Limerick to New York on Barque Celeste during the summer of 1850. She lived in Orange, New Jersey until her death. She is buried in St. John’s Cemetery in Orange.
