Have you done DNA testing? My O'Mealys were from this area. Father Patrick was PP in Mountshannon 1836-1846. Patrick was born in Limerick City in 1801. His brother, Thomas and his wife Mary Noonan had a son Edmund 1-14-1847 born in Mountshannon. Three other sons: Patrick 1837, Michael 1839 (my gr grandfather) and Thomas 1849. Have you checked out the Omalley project on FamilyTreeDNA? We need more participants so we can all be sorted out!
