Per the 1910 US Census, Margaret PEARSE immigrated (Ireland to USA) about 1860. Besides her sister, Joanna, she may have had one brother. Several PIERCEs [sic] show up in baptismal records of relatives in Dunkirk, Chautauqua Co., NY. She married Garrett Edward FITZMORRIS, possibly in Dunkirk or Dayton, NY, about 1865-1866. They lived most of their married life in Dayton, Cattaraugus Co., NY, and most or all of their children were born there. They were members of St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church in Dayton. After Garrett's 1896 death, Margaret lived with some of her children at 486 Front St. (1904) and 41 Meech Ave. (1913) in Buffalo, Erie Co., NY. I have a photo of Margaret's headstone in Holy Cross Cemetery in Lackawanna, Erie Co., NY, but have not digitized it yet. She and other relatives known to be buried there are not all listed on FindAGrave.com.
