Margaret Doyle was born in Killeage in 1832.

At 3 months, her parents wwent out to Canada from Cork. Theu settled on Lake Erie at Lockport, New York. Her father was a worker on the Erie Canal and drowned in the canal later on. His widow moved to Buffalo where she lived with Margaret and Margarets husband Mellon Olcott.

Their son, John Chancellor was brn in 1857 and became famous in life as an entertainer under the name"Chauncy" Olcott. Chauncy sang and acted on the Broadway stage and across America for some 50 years. He wroth "My Wild Irish Rose", "When Irish eyes  are Smiling". "Tur-a-lur-a-lur-a",". Mother Machree", and many others.

He married Margaritta O'Donovan, a cousin of Jerimiah O'Donovan Rossa. 

She was a native of San Francisco, USA
