Maria Pitt was born in Dublin in1820 and baptised on 6th Feb 1820 at Westland Row, Dublin
She arrived in Hobart Town in 1828 with her parents and siblings.
On the 2nd August 1836 permission was sought for Maria & Stephen Le Busque (convict "Andromeda"1827) to marry. They were married on the 3rd October 1836 in Longford, Tasmania
They had 10 children:-
Thomas, Richard, Emma, Amelia Jane, John, Stephen, William, Susanna, Mary Alicia & Emma
The family moved to Victoria in 1854 making their passage on the "Lady Bird" on 18th June.
Maria died in Melbourne on 20th July 1860
