Martin Flood- the only information I have on him in Ireland is that he was born around 1832 Westmeath County.
He married Bridget Mahoney in Sydney 1852. Bridget arrived in Australia in 1850 on board the John Knox as an assisted immigrant. Bridget was born around 1832 in Tipperary.
I am trying to find out who Martin's parents were. According to his death certificate in 1893, he had been in Australia for over 50 years.
I am imagining he was a convicts son, but have never been able to find any evidence.
The names Ellen and William Henry were prevalent in the family.
