Mary Bowles was born Mary Douglas in Croom County Limerick Ireland 1988.
Her Father was Thomas Douglas.
In 1908 she married Patrick Bowles in County Limerick and moved to Charleville County Cork.
Her first son William (Billy ) Bowles was born Feb 22nd 1909 the birth was registered in Gortskagh Charleville County Cork.
In the 1911 census Mary was 23 and Patrick was 30. He was working as an agricultural labourer. Their son was now 2 and they had a daughter Hanora (Nora) who was just 3 months old.
Mary went on to have 4 more children.
I learned that she never tiered of looking after her family and was a very kind caring lady.
