Mary Elizabeth Healy was born April 1, 1894 in Sligo, to Connor (Cornelius) and Bridget. On April 20, 1913 she voyaged aboard the Carmania to the United States, joining her brother John.
She eventually married Michael Griffin and settled in Detroit (Hazel Park) Michigan, where she raised a family of two girls and three boys.
She died on the 4th of July in 1939, of complications from surgery and was buried in a pauper's grave at Mt Olivet Cemetery.
