Mary Fahy, grew up at Coolfin, Abbey, Galway and was the daughter of Bridget Murray and Lawrence Fahy. She was born on the 2nd of Nov 1876. Mary emigrated to the US in about 1895. She married Michael McGrath, originally from County Limerick, on 15 July 1900 at Chicago, Illinois. They had eight children: Delia, John, Kathleen, Mae, Sadie, William, Margaret, and Rita Hazel. Mae is pictured with Mary in the accompanying photograph which is from the family files of Mike O'Niell (Mae's grandson. Note: Will update sources in detail soon Submitted by: Jane Rock.
