Mary Halloran 1837

Back to List

Mary Halloran was born in Cong in about 1837 and moved to the UK where she married Martin Tracey in 1855 in West Bromwich.

They had at least seven children and most survived, giving them at least 14 grandchildren.

I'd be interested to hear from anyone who shares my ancestor Mary and wondered whether Halloran is a popular surname in this area.

Additional Information
Date of Birth 1st Jan 1837 (circa)

  • My great grandmother was Susan Halloran/O'Halloran.  I wonder if we have relatives up the line?  She married Patrick Ratchford born about 1842, and she was born about 1852.  They moved to England, Lancashire, Wigan just before my grandfather's birth in 1883.  I was told they moved to England becaue of the "winds" after so many of the trees were removed from Ireland for consumption in England that the winds carried brutally across the island.  I have done DNA and am in GEDMatch
