Her parents were Susan and Hugh (deceased). Arrived in Australia aboard the Sapphire in May 1859 as part of the Donegal Relief Fund. Her Sister Catherine and cousin Sarah (Parents Sarah and Patrick Gallagher) arrived two months later on the Lady Elma Bruce. All came from Cloughaneely and came here via the Donegal Relief Fund.
