My 3 x great grandmother Mary Maher, daughter of, Edward Maher 1790, and Mary Farrell 1791, was baptized April 13, 1823, Templeachally, Englishtown,Tipperary. Mary was one of six children, William 1819, James 1820, Michael 1821, Ellen 1824 and Martin 1824. Shortly after her birth the family left for Quebec, Canada first appearing on the 1825 census Parish of Ste. Catherine de Fossambault; Village of St. Patrick (new settlement) north of Quebec City.
