Best known for her portrayal of Mary Kate Danaher in the classic motion picture ‘The Quiet Man’

In 2014 she was  awarded an Honorary Oscar by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences

Died in Boise, Idaho, USA on the 24th of October 2015 aged 95

Buried at the Arlington National Cemetery Washington DC
