The marriage certificate says Maurice Doyle and Catherine (K) Walsh of Kilkenny but it is not known if they were both from there or if it was meant for her alone.
There has to be family that was left behind who could be looking for us you would think, even my DNA results has not shown a single match from Ireland ??
There is a John Doyle who apparently was some sort of rebel who had been in jail in Ireland and he came to Canada to one of his sons (it says he had two) at Neguac NB, he got news that his other son in Miramichi, no names given (where Maurice and Catherine were married) was sick, he left on foot in February 1820 a distance of 43km and on route a storm developped , he hid behind some bales of hay and they found him dead there.. My Maurice's brother Thomas it is said came to Canada that same year (1820) and Maurice followed 1827.
From Maurice's head stone, Maurice Doyle Died Apr. 12/1862 Age 55 years, His son Maurice died Oct. 16/1856, aged 21 months.
Maurice's eldest son was named John Allan, who named his son Maurice and he had a son named Maurice (my father) .
