Stayed in Ireland
Tomb stone of my great, great grandfather Michael McLoughlin and his daughter Catherine McLoughlin at Stradbally Cemetrery (LI_STBY_0051). Both died in 1900, both from Newport Tipperary. It was erected by his daughter Alicia McLoughlin (who later married to Michael Casey) who also lived in Newport. One record has Alicia also being buried in Stradbally cemetery but I have not found a tomb stone.
Michael was a baker in Newport as was his son John McLoughlin. Alicia and her husband Michael Casey continued the baker business of her father.
My great grand mother, Annie McLoughlin and her sister Maragaret Mcloughlin both emigrated to Australia in the 1878.
From my research, the McLoughlin name was also spelt McGloughlin or M'Loughlin.
