My Great Grandfather, according to Catholic Parish records, was from Knockacappul.  His parents were John Cronin and Margaret Herlihy. 

When he immigrated to the USA in 1879, most likely thru Quebec Canada, he settled in the Swanton Vermont, USA. He later married and was a Tinsmith, a trade that was probably passed down from his father.  One of his brothers, Cornelius was also a Tinsmith.
