Michael Healy, my great grandfather at Age 20 came to Port Adelaide in South Australia, Australia on the ship PEERESS leaving from Plymouth 9th August 1866 he was single and came from Co Clare. He married Mary McCue in St. Patrick's Church in Adelaide, South Australia and raised his family till he died 28 January 1917. On his marriage certificate it says his father was JohnHealy and on his death certificate he was aged 72 and came from Durah, Co. Clare. He could not read or write. Signed any papers with a cross.
