I have found a Michael Joseph Sheehy that immigrated to the US in 1883 and married my great grandmother (Margaret Frances also Sheehy) on 12 July 1886 in Bethany, Moultrie, Illinois.
I have found potential parents: 1) Thomas Sheehy & Margaret Quaid; 2) Martin Sheehy & Margaret Deneen ; 3) Martin Sheehy & Catherine Meade. I haven’t been able to discover dates or places of the potential parents as there are multiple Martin, Margaret, Thomas Sheehys.
I did find a Michael Joseph Sheehy born 1861 in County Limerick , Christened in Newcastle, County Limerick. My hope would be to discover the true lineage of parents in Ireland.
