My father's family left Ireland for North America around 1848. Michael was married to Mary Myles, they were married in Ireland, and lived in the area of Boston, Massachusetts. Michael Lane and Mary Myles were my great-great grandparents. I have no information on their parents or other family members who stayed in Ireland.
I think whatever ship they took landed in Canada first and then they went to the United States.
I haven't been able to find any Irish records, births or marriage.
Any insights and/or information would be helpful and much apprecfiated. I can fill you in on your North Anerican cousins.
