I know he lived in Philadelphia married to Mary Riley with chidlren James
I know where he is buried and he was a laborer
I have hit a dead end about where he came from but an Edward McDermott came from Roscommon and becamse a citizen in 1802
His son was an Edward and my gradnfather, uncle and dad were all edwards
The records are scarce
