There is a question associated with this submission. I cannot address the respondent by name. In the 1911 Census, there is a Michael Meehan, son of Joseph and Mary Meehan, living in Phoenix Street, New Kilmainham, hust east of Chapelizod. There are two other Meehans living in the area, a woman of 35 and another of 76. There are Weldons living nearby, in reality, in the next street. While the Meehans are relatively young, M = 35, My = 36, the Weldons are an ageing family, with the father, aged 47, his mother?, aged 65, and a string of children, between 22 and 2. There is no mother in the list. As the streets are not very long and the neighbourhood is small, there may have been an association of these families. I have not been able to confirm that either parent ( Joseph or Mary) died before 1926.

My Grandad, born Feb 1906, baptised in March 1906 in Chapelizod Church, no godparents/sponsors. Parents names are Meehan/Terlin ???? (Not 100% sure) He lived with the Weldons, Patrick & Catherine, in Gambles Building, until his wedding in 1935. Looking for any information on the Weldons, or why he went to live with them.
