Spouse's first name was Bridget (not Emily) although a daughter born in India was named Emely Bridget so the name Emily might be from a relative.
Although Michael's death date in Canada is correct, his birth date could have been between 1843 - 1845.
He left the British Army just before the 1881 England Census. They had a daughter born in 1886 in Ontario, Canada.
However, I have never been able to find his/their emigration information. Obviously was between 1881-1886.
He must have had family in Ireland but I have found no records. According to his marriage certificate his father was also named Michael. I certainly hope that some of the family survived the famine.
